Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said this week that Republican governors needed to ship illegal aliens in their states to Denver after far-Left Denver Mayor Mike Johnston vowed to protect them from being deported after President-elect Donald Trump is sworn in.
In an interview with a local publication, Johnston <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/denver-mayor-warns-trump-of-tiananmen-square-moment-if-he-rounds-up-illegal-immigrants">said</a> he would deploy the Denver Police Department “stationed at the county line to keep [Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers] out.”
He went even further, warning of a “Tiananmen Square moment.” He also said that he was willing to go to jail to stop the deportations.
Cruz reacted to the comments during the most recent episode of his &#8220;Verdict&#8221; podcast with co-host Ben Ferguson.

Cruz began: “So, the mayor of Denver has said, &#8216;We want illegal immigrants in our city. We will fight to keep illegal immigrants in our city. I don&#8217;t care that the voters don&#8217;t want it. I don&#8217;t care what Federal law says. I don&#8217;t care about the women being murdered, the women being raped, the children being assaulted.'&#8221;
&#8220;I&#8217;m going to call right now for Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, for Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, and any other red state governor, to start sending buses to Denver, Colorado,&#8221; Cruz said. &#8220;I&#8217;m going to urge the state government of Texas to send every one of the illegals who comes into the state to Denver, Colorado, drop them off in front of the mayor&#8217;s residence.&#8221;
&#8220;He wants them there. He&#8217;s willing to go to jail to fight for them to be there, fine,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;We will send you the Venezuelan gang members to your city. And let&#8217;s see, you know, I&#8217;m going to predict right now the residents of Denver aren&#8217;t going to like this.&#8221;

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/john-kerry" target="_blank" rel="noopener">John Kerry</a>, who served as President Joe Biden&#8217;s Special Presidential Envoy for Climate up until March of this year, said late last week that a climate emergency needed to be declared.
Kerry made the remarks on Thursday at a recent John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum as the 29th United Nations climate change conference (COP29) concluded.
“I think, personally, we&#8217;re on the brink of needing to declare a climate emergency, which is what we really have,” Kerry said. “And we need to get people to behave as if this really is a major transitional challenge to the whole planet, to everybody.”
Kerry said that it was America&#8217;s responsibility to pay for energy infrastructure in Africa because the U.S. is the world&#8217;s leading economy.
&#8220;People in Africa who don&#8217;t have electricity need to choose the right kind of electricity and we need to help them be able to afford it and do it,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We have the largest economy in the world — $24 trillion or $23 trillion economy, maybe more by now.&#8221;

He said that the U.S. needs &#8220;to make it happen&#8221; because &#8220;nobody lives as an island in this process, on this planet.&#8221;
&#8220;And no one country has enough money to deal with the climate crisis,&#8221; he said.
He claimed that &#8220;the economics of climate work favors people who are feeling the pinch of inflation.&#8221;

President-elect Donald Trump incoming <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tom-homan" target="_blank" rel="noopener">border czar</a> said during an interview this week that he is absolutely willing to have far-Left Denver Mayor Mike Johnston thrown in jail after Johnston said that he would obstruct federal immigration officials from carrying out deportations in the city.
Johnston <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/denver-mayor-warns-trump-of-tiananmen-square-moment-if-he-rounds-up-illegal-immigrants" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in an interview with a local publication that he would deploy the Denver Police Department &#8220;at the county line to keep them out.&#8221;
He went even further, threatening to turn the situation into a &#8220;Tiananmen Square moment.&#8221;

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), who sits on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/rand-paul-denver-mayor-will-likely-be-removed-from-office-if-he-obstructs-ice" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> CBS News on Sunday that Johnston would be removed from office if he resisted federal immigration authorities.
“The mayor of Denver, if he’s going to resist federal law, which there’s a longstanding history of the supremacy of federal law, if he’s going to resist that, it will go all the way to the Supreme Court,” he said. “And I would suspect that he would be removed from office.”
“I don’t know whether or not there’d be a criminal prosecution for someone resisting federal law, but he will lose,” he continued. “And people need to realize that what he is offering is a form of insurrection, where the states resist the federal government.”
“The mayor of Denver is on the wrong side of history, and, really, I think, will face legal ramifications if he doesn’t obey the federal law,” he added.

Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) said during an interview over the weekend that President-elect Donald Trump has the right to use the U.S. military to remove the millions of illegal aliens who are in the country.
Barrasso made the remarks during an interview on &#8220;Fox News Sunday&#8221; about Trump&#8217;s agenda and the men and women he&#8217;s tapped to be in his administration.
When asked about Trump confirming that he is considering using the military to conduct mass deportations, Barrasso said: &#8220;Well, I support the president.&#8221;
&#8220;We have a national security crisis in this country right now because of our open border, and when he declares it a national emergency, he can appropriately use the military,&#8221; he said. &#8220;There are over 10 million illegal immigrants in the country right now.&#8221;
&#8220;We are talking about drug dealers, people in criminal cartels,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;These are folks who have actually been murdering, raping, poisoning American citizens. Barrasso correctly noted that the overwhelming majority of the American public supports Trump conducting mass deportations.

Waltz made the remarks during a Sunday interview on &#8220;Fox News Sunday&#8221; while talking about the escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
&#8220;This is a clear escalation,&#8221; Waltz said of Russia&#8217;s decision to introduce a more advanced ballistic missile into the war. &#8220;And the concern has been, where is this escalation going?&#8221;
&#8220;This is in response, in large part, to North Korea sending troops,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;We have now responded by allowing these strikes deeper into Russia, and I want to be clear that they are hitting things like supply depots and airfields and pushing the Russian offensive back. Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) said during an interview over the weekend that Democrats hurt themselves in the recent election because they were &#8220;lost&#8221; on major issues.
Fetterman made the remarks during an interview on &#8220;Fox News Sunday&#8221; while reflecting on his party&#8217;s losses this month.
&#8220;Well, one area where we kind of lost ourselves was the border,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And I&#8217;ve been on this network, you know, months, months ago saying, &#8216;Hey, you know, it can&#8217;t be controversial for our party to have pro-immigration, but we need a secure border.'&#8221;
He said that the party made a major mistake by asking and demanding that people not believe what they were seeing about the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens pouring into the U.S. every month.
&#8220;I&#8217;ve tried to describe – you have up to 300,000 encounters per month,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And I put that in perspective with Pennsylvania. I&#8217;m like, that&#8217;s the size of Pittsburgh showing up in one month. It&#8217;s like, what&#8217;s going to happen for those folks? If we want them [to have] the American Dream for those people, how can we possibly deliver that? Where do they go? And we can&#8217;t pretend that that&#8217;s not a significant issue. And we got to address that.&#8221;
He also suggested that Democrats lost their way when it came to supporting Israel.
&#8220;I said I was going to follow Israel,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And since they refused to have that cease-fire, they have eliminated and broken Hamas, and Hezbollah, Hezbollah was supposed to be like the ultimate bada**es in the Middle East, and now they were a bunch of Keystone Cops, and Iran has just been exposed, as you know, they really can&#8217;t fight about anything. So that&#8217;s been a significant development here.&#8221;

Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) defended former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), President-elect Donald Trump&#8217;s nominee for Director of National Intelligence, over the weekend after she has been attacked in the media over the last couple of weeks.
Schmitt made the remarks during a Sunday interview on NBC News&#8217; &#8220;Meet The Press&#8221; with Kristen Welker when asked about remarks that former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley made about Gabbard.
&#8220;This is not a place for a Russian, Iranian, Syrian, Chinese sympathizer,&#8221; Haley said recently. &#8220;DNI has to analyze real threats. Are we comfortable with someone like that at the top of our national intelligence agencies?&#8221;
Schmitt responded: &#8220;I think it&#8217;s really interesting that anybody that has a different political view now is being cast as a Russian asset.&#8221;
&#8220;It&#8217;s totally ridiculous,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Tulsi Gabbard has served in our military. She&#8217;s served as a congresswoman from Hawaii — as a Democrat, I might add, part of this unique coalition that President Trump has put together and won and got that mandate. But I think it&#8217;s insulting. It&#8217;s a slur, quite frankly.&#8221;
&#8220;There&#8217;s no evidence that she&#8217;s an asset of another country,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;She&#8217;s served this country honorably. And, by the way, she cares deeply about our constitution and civil liberties and making sure people aren&#8217;t being targeted by these intelligence agencies.&#8221;
Schmitt said that Gabbard was &#8220;a reformer&#8221; who can come in and shake up the intelligence community.
He later added that he planned to vote for Gabbard as well as Pam Bondi for attorney general and Pete Hegseth for secretary of defense.

Lankford made the remarks during a Sunday interview on CNN&#8217;s &#8220;State of the Union&#8221; with Dana Bash when asked about whether Bondi would weaponize the department to go after Trump&#8217;s political opponents.
&#8220;[Trump] wants to make sure that the people that are around him in the Cabinet are at least directionally the right direction,&#8221; he said. &#8220;This has been a question, quite frankly, since the Kennedy administration, when President Kennedy put his brother in as attorney general.&#8221;

Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) slammed Sen. Tammy Duckworth&#8217;s (D-IL) attack on former Rep. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tulsi-gabbard" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tulsi Gabbard</a> (D-HI) over the weekend, calling her smear &#8220;outright dangerous.&#8221;
Mullin made the remark during a Sunday interview on CNN&#8217;s &#8220;State of the Union&#8221; while responding to Duckworth&#8217;s attacks on Gabbard — whom President-elect Donald Trump has tapped to be his Director of National Intelligence — just moments prior on the same show.
Duckworth claimed that Gabbard, who is now a Republican, was &#8220;compromised&#8221; and potentially someone who &#8220;will not have America&#8217;s best interests at heart.&#8221;
When asked to respond to Duckworth&#8217;s attacks, Mullin said he thought they were &#8220;ridiculous and outright dangerous words.&#8221;
&#8220;You have got to keep in mind that Tulsi Gabbard is still a lieutenant colonel in the United States Army,&#8221; he said. &#8220;She commands a Reserve unit here in Oklahoma and Missouri. If she was compromised, if she wasn&#8217;t able to pass a background check, if she wasn&#8217;t able to do her job, she still wouldn&#8217;t be in the Army.&#8221;
&#8220;And so Tammy is absolutely dead wrong on this, and she should retract those words,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;That&#8217;s the most dangerous thing she could say, is that a United States lieutenant colonel in the United States Army is compromised and is an asset of Russia.&#8221;
He said Duckworth&#8217;s attack could be motivated by her being upset that Gabbard left the party.

Senator Mullin Rips Democrat Senator’s ‘Outright Dangerous’ Attack On Tulsi Gabbard

Far-Left MSNBC personality <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joy-reid" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joy Reid</a> said this week that alleged “vulnerable” communities have a genuine fear of President-elect Donald Trump’s supporters and that people do not feel “safe” around them.
Reid made the remarks in a social media video that went viral this week in which she claimed that people were “rightfully alarmed” by Trump’s victory.
“They have a reason to be alarmed,” she said. “And if you would vote for that, people may not feel so confident that they are safe with you.”
“This is not crazy,” she continued. “This is legitimate feelings of fear of you. And a feeling that you might not be someone they can trust, if this thing goes way south. Autocracies go south real fast, and things get ugly and people get asked to do things and turn people in and point people out and turn on them.”
She said that Trump supporters would have to “live with” the people’s reactions to them having voted to support Trump.
“If you think you can vote for what people see as their destruction and then demand that they&#8217;re still cool with you and have Thanksgiving with you, you are kind of missing the point about what people are upset about,” she said. “They’re afraid. Autocracy and fascism are things that are legitimate to be afraid of. So you might want to step back.”

Earlier this month, Reid platformed Yale University chief psychiatry resident Dr. Amanda Calhoun on her MSNBC show “The Reidout” where she proceeded to call for people to cut off their Trump supporting family members for the holidays.
She said that the societal norm is that “if somebody is your family, that they are entitled to your time.”
“And I think the answer is absolutely not,” she said. “So if you are going to a situation where you have family members, where you have close friends who you know have voted in ways that are against you, like what you said, against your livelihood, it’s completely fine to not be around those people and to tell them why, to say, ‘I have a problem with the way that you voted because it went against my very livelihood, and I’m not going to be around you this holiday. I need to take some space for me.'&#8221;
She said that it “may be essential” for people’s mental health to “establish boundaries” with their family members over the results of the election.
“People are concerned about their human rights, their existence, their safety,” she claimed. “And I think you know when we’re talking about people who are worried about, you know, getting gender affirming care. We’re talking about people who are worried about being able to get access to women’s health care, to, you know, life saving procedures to abortions.”
“That has a very, very devastating downstream effect on one’s mental health,” she added. “And when, you know, as a psychiatrist, the child psychiatrist, but I also work with adults, we also see a lot of children who are born to parents who are struggling. They might have mental health issues, and those children sometimes develop very severe behavioral problems, suicidality, and I have a lot of concerns about the support that those kids are going to have going forward.”
