Hollywood star Zachary Levi said Democratic politicians in California need to be held criminally responsible for the wildfires still burning in Los Angeles county as of Thursday.
During the 44-year-old actor’s appearance on Fox News, Levi didn’t hold back and said the destruction caused by the Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst fires is due to “incredible mismanagement” and “incredibly poor leadership.” As of Thursday, the three fires remain zero percent contained and have forced the evacuations of tens of thousands of people in the Southern California area, with many losing their homes.
“I would go so far as to say that it’s criminally negligent because Gavin Newsom has been the governor either for five years or Lt. Governor prior to that for eight, nine years,” Levi explained. “Some of the worst fires we have ever had under that watch.”

“He clearly knows that the biggest problem that we suffer in California are these fires. Oh, and by the way, the mudslides that follow,” he added. “And for them to do not just nothing, but essentially worse than nothing, when firefighter budgets are being cut, when they are specifically, essentially work that could be done to avoid these problems or to be able to serve them effectively when they are happening.”
“At some point, it goes just beyond whoopsie, at some point it goes beyond negligence, there is something that’s almost criminally intentional about this,” the “Shazam!” star continued.

Levi said this is just “not good leadership,” and the politicians “must be held responsible.”
The actor wasn’t the only star who has blasted the Democratic leadership in the state and city for the disaster.
Actress Sarah Foster took to X and pointed out that leftist policies have utterly ruined the state of California as she called on Newsom and others to resign immediately.
“We pay the highest taxes in California. Our fire hydrants were empty,” Foster wrote to her followers. “Our vegetation was overgrown, brush not cleared.”
“Our reservoirs were emptied by our governor because tribal leaders wanted to save fish,” she added. “Our fire department budget was cut by our mayor. But thank god drug addicts are getting their drug kits. @MayorOfLA @GavinNewsom RESIGN. Your far left policies have ruined our state. And also our party.”
