<span style="font-weight: 400;">It’s typical to see women who are normally non-political share whom they’re voting for – if they’re voting Democrat, of course. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Unless a woman is explicitly political on Instagram, she wouldn’t tell anyone she was voting for Donald Trump.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">What was atypical, or at least unexpected, were the comments underneath the original post.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Women were told since Kamala Harris became the last-minute Democrat presidential nominee that she was the obvious choice. Of course women should vote for her. How could any woman vote against another woman? Didn’t they want a woman president?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">And of course, there was the long list of reasons why women shouldn’t – nay COULDN’T – vote for Donald Trump. Women everywhere were exclaiming that their daughters’ futures were on the line; they absolutely HAD to vote for Kamala to defend their daughters’ access to abortions; Donald Trump was a disgusting man who was literally Hitler, if you asked the mainstream media; Donald Trump was simply too evil to be in office, no matter what his actual policies were.</span></p>

And yet — w<span style="font-weight: 400;">omen voted for Donald Trump.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The pressure exerted by the media, by influencers, by celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, amounted to nothing at all. Harris had the lowest turnout from women in the last three elections, lower than both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. 52% of white women voted for Trump.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">What happened?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It turns out that women aren’t stupid enough to be swayed simply because another woman is running for the highest seat in the land. Women are not some faceless horde ready to fight for someone based solely on identity politics. Women weren’t convinced by a woman who was so bad at her job that she resorted to incoherent rambling and high-pitched cackling. And what the Democrats thought was a winning strategy — telling women not to think with their heads but to vote based off of hashtags like #imwithher — turned out to be an offensive joke.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This time, women voted for what they cared about. Women cared about their grocery bills. They cared about their daughters playing sports and entering bathrooms safely. They cared about crime rates. They cared about illegal immigration. And yes, they even cared about abortion – but perhaps less about ruining their daughters’ futures because they wouldn’t have access to on-demand abortions, and more about babies not being torn limb from limb in the womb.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Perhaps the fact that Kamala Harris was so bad at her job, so utterly irritating, allowed women to ignore the calls to vote for a woman, any woman, and instead look at the facts.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">And the facts on the ground were clear —  a vote for Trump was a vote for women.</span></p>

<p>If you&#8217;ve ever been offended by a cookie, you&#8217;re not alone.</p>
<p>In order to avoid claims of sexism, the Scottish Parliament has decided to rename &#8220;gingerbread men&#8221; to &#8220;gingerbread persons&#8221; in its coffee shop in Holyrood. &#8220;The £1.45 iced sweet treats, on sale ahead of Christmas, featured a tag with the hand-written title &#8216;gingerbread person,&#8217;&#8221; reports <a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/7984841/gingerbread-men-replaced-by-gingerbread-persons-in-scottish-parliament-coffee-shop-in-drive-to-stamp-out-sexism/">The Sun.</a></p>
<p>Holyrood, Scotland, where Parliament is located, recently learned through research that 30% of female ministers had experienced some form of sexual harassment. It was then deemed necessary to change the classic &#8220;gingerbread man&#8221; to a less offensive non-binary character. &#8220;A tradition festive favourite with children, Holyrood will now stock gingerbread persons as part of an increased focus on gender neutrality,&#8221; according to <a href="https://www.irishpost.com/news/scottish-parliament-rebrands-gingerbread-men-gingerbread-men-162769">The Irish Post.</a></p>
<p>Unfortunately, the rebrand did not go over well.</p>
<p>Annie Wells, Scottish Conservative Equalities spokesman, was not pleased. &#8220;Surely the Scottish Parliament has got better things to do than worry about what to call gingerbread men?&#8221; she asked. &#8220;This is an utterly pointless gesture which simply trivialises the real issues of gender equality.&#8221;</p>
<p>Ricky Gervais also had something to say on the matter: &#8220;Why are they ALL ginger? Racist.&#8221;</p>

<p>This is not the first time this year that a company had to rebrand its products to avoid being labeled sexist. In October, Waitrose, a British supermarket, came under fire for the title of one of their sandwiches: &#8220;Gentleman&#8217;s Smoked Chicken Caesar Roll.&#8221; The name of the sandwich comes from the anchovy paste inside it known as gentleman&#8217;s relish. But unfortunately, one woman was offended by the audacity of the roll&#8217;s name.</p>
<p>&#8220;Amy Lamé, Sadiq Khan&#8217;s London night Czar, posted an image of the product on Twitter and said: &#8216;I never knew sandwiches were gender specific. I&#8217;m female but thankfully Waitrose let me purchase this anyway,&#8217;&#8221; reported <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/10/17/waitrose-rename-sexist-sandwich-protest-feminist-campaigner/">The Telegraph</a>. &#8220;She tagged the organisation Everyday Sexism, who document instances of sexism experienced on a day to day basis.&#8221;</p>

<p>A Twitter storm soon followed, and Waitrose announced that they were changing the name of the sandwich.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s no wonder there&#8217;s a joke about women being in the kitchen; it seems gingerbread men and gentleman&#8217;s sandwiches are not welcome there.</p></p>

<p>A street paved in chocolate sounds like a dream, but firefighters in Werl, Germany might beg to differ.</p>
<p>DreiMeister, a German chocolate factory, had an unfortunate incident when liquid chocolate began pouring out onto the street in the middle of winter at 8 p.m. on Monday. <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/german-chocolate-factory-spill-makes-sweet-street-n947301https:/www.nbcnews.com/news/world/german-chocolate-factory-spill-makes-sweet-street-n947301">NBC News</a> reported, &#8220;&#8217;About a tonne of chocolate ran out into the yard and from there onto the street,&#8217; a spokesman for the Werl fire department said in a statement.&#8221; The chocolate covered 108 square feet, congealing and hardening on Weststrasse, the nearest road, creating a traffic hazard and causing a street closure for two hours.</p>
<p>According to the Werl fire department, 25 firefighters broke apart the hardened chocolate with &#8220;shovels and muscle power.&#8221; But despite the spill, the fire department has reassured citizens in the western town of Westönnen, where the factory is located, that Christmas won&#8217;t be ruined.</p>
<p>&#8220;&#8216;Despite this heartbreaking incident, it is unlikely that a chocolate-free Christmas is imminent,&#8217; the fire department said,&#8221; reported <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-46537552">BBC News.</a> And DreiMeister&#8217;s chief executive Marcus Luckey made clear that had the spill happened closer to Christmas, it would have been a &#8220;catastrophe.&#8221; As it is, the factory reopened Wednesday.</p>
<p>As you might imagine, Roald Dahl HQ had something to say about the incident on Twitter: &#8220;Willy Wonka couldn&#8217;t be reached for comment.&#8221;</p>

<p>Crazily enough, this isn&#8217;t the first chocolate spill to happen in 2018. Earlier this year, a truck overturned in Warsaw, Poland, covering the highway with 12 tons of molten chocolate. The chocolate hardened over six lanes of the highway, forcing rescue officials to melt it with hot water. &#8220;Senior brigadier Bogdan Kowalski with the fire brigade of Slupca, a town in western Poland, said, &#8216;the cooling chocolate is worse than snow,&#8217;&#8221; according to <a href="https://apnews.com/202559ed2b674847a56fb4e94edc4917">the AP.</a></p>

<p>Although most of the rescue officials were having a good time during the clean-up, <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/food/wp/2018/05/09/a-tanker-truck-filled-with-tons-of-chocolate-spilled-on-a-polish-highway-heres-what-that-looked-like/?utm_term=.7b3f9834254f">The Washington Post</a> reported, &#8220;A local journalist was less fortunate. TVN24 reported that one of its reporters at the scene was walking along the edge of the shoulder to avoid the chocolate only to slip and fall into a ditch, where there was, indeed, more chocolate.&#8221;</p>
<p>And back in 2016, a Frito-Lay truck collided with a Busch beer truck in Florida, causing chips and beer to be strewn over the highway. The two drivers were not seriously injured, <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3506153/Budweiser-truck-slams-Frito-Lay-truck-causing-freeway-trashed-mess-beer-chips.html">the AP</a> reported, &#8220;However, their cargo was not so lucky. The crash spilled beer and chips across the roadway, causing police to shut down the southbound lanes for three hours while a clean-up crew was called in to clear the lanes of booze and snacks.&#8221;</p>
<p>Kare 11 News had its own take on the spill on Twitter: &#8220;5 second rule? Busch Beer semi hits Frito Lay truck, spilling beer and chips on Fla. hwy.&#8221;</p>

HILARIOUS: German Chocolate Hits The Street Just In Time For Christmas

<p>When did &#8220;get out and vote&#8221; become a passive aggressive way of saying, &#8220;Get out and vote Democrat&#8221;?</p>
<p>Liberals and leftists have commandeered the phrase, and all of a sudden what used to be a civic duty has become a condemnation against those who plan to vote Republican on November 6. A photo on my Facebook newsfeed of an &#8220;I voted!&#8221; sticker accompanied with the caption, &#8220;Change is up to YOU!!&#8221; was the first thing I woke up to this morning. That, and a whole host of other posts declaring that my so-called friends had voted in the &#8220;blue wave&#8221; that has slowed to what seems like more of a trickle these past few weeks.</p>
<p>I did not see one post from a Republican voter. Why? Because being Republican simply isn&#8217;t following the trend. That&#8217;s not what people mean when they say, &#8220;Get out and vote.&#8221; You are voting, but you missed the point, according to the Left.</p>
<p>The call to vote by celebrities, TV hosts, comedians, and others has been a sham. They don&#8217;t want the average American to vote, and they don&#8217;t want to see a MAGA supporter in the voting booth. To them, a true voter is a blue voter. And you simply don&#8217;t count if you think the current administration has done anything right.</p>
<p>After the Kavanaugh debacle, when leftists tried to destroy a man with no credible evidence against him, Republicans didn&#8217;t need a verbal call to action. We had seen what the Left could do, and we didn&#8217;t need a celebrity to tell us we needed &#8220;change.&#8221;</p>
<p>We who find it important to vote but don&#8217;t or can&#8217;t declare it to the world for fear of personal or professional repercussions choose to vote in silence. We do our civic duty and fight the idea that our vote only counts if it&#8217;s blue.</p>
<p>So go ahead. &#8220;Get out and vote.&#8221;</p>
